Bureau of Indian Education has 174 public schools in the federal collection we publish, and we are not able to score any of them for the 2021-22 year.
That is a statement about the data, not about the schools. A school gets a safety score here only when its own reporting is complete enough to support one — enough of the federal incident categories filed, at rates in line with schools of the same size and grade range nationally. Where that threshold isn't met we publish no score rather than a number we can't stand behind.
